Like its B58 counterparts, the Dinan carbon fibre intake for MINI is designed to deliver performance, sound, and style — all within a tightly packaged and highly efficient design. Now supporting LCI models and 2020+ variants, this 3rd-generation intake has been refined to meet the demands of modern B46/B48 engines, while still retaining the essence that made its predecessor a favourite.
Engineered for flow in a space-constrained environment, Dinan’s intake eliminates the stock system’s key restriction points without introducing higher air temps — even under aggressive driving. With traditional improvements like snorkel replacement deemed cost-prohibitive, Dinan’s engineers focused on an innovative secondary inlet. After extensive flow bench and real-world testing, a 12-square-inch open-air port was integrated into the carbon fibre lid — providing supplementary airflow without heat soak, regardless of driving conditions.
The result is a noticeable bump in performance and responsiveness. Gains of up to +12 WHP and +23 lb-ft in the low to mid-range significantly improve drivability, while the semi-open design enhances audible feedback from the turbo spool and blow-off valve. Visually, the sculpted carbon fibre lid adds an aggressive, premium touch to the engine bay. This is a cost-effective, thoroughly tested solution built for those who want more than just a factory feel.
